There was a winter storm last night that created more than a couple inches of snow this morning. When we woke up it was raining  and the road was all covered with snow. With rain and snow it would seemed dangerous to move around. The car was covered with thick snow. We woke our 16-year old son up to clear the pathway. He took the shovel and cleaned the driveway. I told him that there was no class today and he said maybe the bus will just be late. I told him it  was on tv that the all schools are closed and he was happy about it. The kids woke up early too and got excited about no class day. Their eyes got big when they saw the pile of snow outside. It was their first time to see this thick snow here in Jersey. They’ve waited all ages it seemed to see this one. They thought if it snowed in Illinois so long during winter there it would do the same here but to their dismay it never happened. It just snowed recently. I am happy that it is no as bad as it was in Iliinois. They went at the backyard and in the frontyard playing with the snow. They really had fun even if it was raining.

I was thinking what  activity could they do aside from playing in the snow and watching tv. We decided to make pepperoni pizza with red bell pepper and onions for dinner. I have taught them how to make one before and they are excited to make one again today. I sliced the onions and red bell pepper and set them aside. I preheated the oven at 350 degrees F and while waiting for this flattened the dough and sprinkle the toppings. We placed it in the oven for 20 minutes. With the right heat and time we made it better this time. I brushed it with some butter and it looked good. The kid are so excited to eat it. It tasted good with orange soda. ;-)
