Inspirational Quotes for Parents

Parenting is no easy task. There is no handbook to become a perfect one as each child  is a unique individual. We are our children’ s first teachers and primary caretakers.  As we rear them up,  give them education in the best possible way we can, teach them the best manners, there is no shortcut method in all these. Regardless of personality all kids would need all the love, guidance, patience and praise we can possibly extend. I believe our children are gifts from heaven that we need to take extra care because in time what we have given them will all boomerang to us. Is it our children ’s choice to become our kids? Or it is a parent’s choice to become mothers and fathers to them.  Let us inspire  ourselves and never cease in living and touching their lives to make them better persons confident to face the future. Here are beautiful quotes that I take motivation from as a parent. Hope you enjoy reading them.

“You may give them your love but not your thoughts, for they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, for their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.”

                                                                                                                                                                    Kahlil Gibran

“I looked on child-rearing not only as a work of love and duty but as a profession that fully as interesting and challenging as any honorable profession in the world and one that demanded the best that I could bring it.”

Rose Kennedy

“Discipline is like broccoli. We may not care for it ourselves, but feel sure it would be good for everybody else.”

Bill Vaughan

“If you want your child to walk the righteous path, do not merely point the way- lead the way.”

J.A. Rosenkranz

“Children are like wet cement. Whatever falls on them makes an impression.”

                                Haim Ginott

”I have found the best way to give advise to your children is to find out what they want and then advise them to do it.”

Harry S. Truman

“Children are like seeds planted in the ground. They must be watered daily. With constant care and attention, the seed will grow into a plant and eventually a flower. “

Shinichi Suzuki

Children are travelers in an unknown land and we are their guides.

Robert Fisher

Criticism is more effective when it sounds like praise.

                                                    Arnold Glasow

“Gentle words, quiet words, are after all the most powerful words. They are more convincing, more compelling, more prevailing.”

W. Gladden

“Do not train youth to learn by harshness, but lead them to it by what amuses their minds. Then you may discover  the peculiar bent of each.”

Plato
